The Delhi government on Monday wrote a letter to President Pranab Mukherjee asking for a probe against former chief minister Sheila Dikshit for issuing fake provisional certificates to unauthorised colonies.
On the report submitted by the Lokayukta on the issue, the President had asked for the chief minister’s recommendation.
This is the first enquiry that will be conducted by the AAP government against Sheila Dikshit.
In 2008, the Congress government gave provisional certificate to unauthorized colonies. In January 2010, the BJP had filed a complaint.
In 2013, the Lokayukta gave its judgment and indicted the Sheila government and wrote to the President. Their main contention was that it was the violation of code of conduct and integrity.
