Ashwin breaking into top seven in batting order is a boon to Indian cricket. He has been knocking the doors as a prolific top order batsman. His style of play helped the Indian Team to reach 560 plus total and declare the innings at the right time. Ashwin is a force to reckon with in Indian Cricket as he is the number one all-rounder in the world of cricket. He is slowly and steadily developing into a good fielder as well in the slip region and outfield. His sound defence and the will to stay longer at the crease all help the side to play with one batsman less and at the same time strengthen the bowling attack as well. His third century against the West Indies side was confidence personified. But for a missed chance at 43 he was the pick among the top order batsman other than Kohli. Ashwin is able to adjust with all his captains and come out trumps in whatever position he bats or in which type of wicket he bowls. He is really an asset to the side in Antigua and displayed his batting skills to make a mark in the International cricket as a front line batsman.
