Bank pass-books should carry all details of account-holders

Presently banks are under process of linking Aadhaar-cards and PAN-number with bank-accounts of account-holders. There is also provision of incorporating other details like passport-numbers, nominations etc of account-holders even though it is not compulsory. It should be made compulsory to give details of some nominee in every bank-account to avoid banks being involved in unnecessary litigation because of court-cases amongst successors.

Banks usually collect identity-proofs like Aadhaar-cards, PAN-cards etc from account-holders to deed in database of account-holders later. Many-a-times these details are not updated in bank-records even though submitted by account-holders. There are chances that these details are not filled correctly in database of computers. Best option is that banks may notify about details that can be updated in bank-records compulsorily or not compulsorily so that account-holders may provide additional information like passport-numbers also for their bank-accounts. Front-page of pass-books should have provision to auto-print all submitted identity and other details of account-holders including also name of nominee so that account-holder may get these rectified in case of discrepancy.
