Darjeeling agitation is turning dangerous and has become daunting task for security personnel and a death of four in Gorkha cause alarm bell. West Bengal Chief Minister accuses Gorkha Janmukti Morcha of its links with North East insurgency groups as terrorists like protests turn violent and policeman was stabbed in the process. The hardline approach of the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is the root cause and it is very difficult to restore peace GJM is going an attacking spree. The present crisis was sparked by fears of Bengali being imposed in schools in the GJM administered areas where a majority of the people are Nepali-speaking Gorkhas. Tamil Nadu witnessed such an intense agitation in early1960s by DMK for the imposition of Hindi by the Centre at that time and it turned violent and trains were burnt and schools were closed for a month. Such a type of ticklish situation is encountered now in north east and West Bengal Government should be blamed for this unrest.
