Hinduism is way of life and covers all Indian religions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking in Vancouver quoted The Supreme Court, which has said that the Hindu dharam is not a religion but a way of life…A Hindu icon of India, all of sudden changed his directions and speeches by projecting himself as a secular leader on international platform. Controversies in the past have forced Modi to shed his communal or staunch hindutvawadi image. Any ways Hinduism is not defined by a rigid set of rules and laws; it embodies Humanity, the Universe, nature and World philosophy. It sees God as a supreme being with many avatars and forms. Hinduism is by its own nature secular, pluralistic and tolerant. It does not spread by conquest and force; it spreads by teaching and enlightenment.
It has given birth to other philosophies like Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism. Every religion is way of an individual’s life and the path he/she choses to follow. When we experience pain in our own lives that converts into hate towards other people? First of all, we need to remove our pain then it would definitely help us to love others. A positive attitude could always help you to get good health and prosperity in your life. Therefore, it is essential to love yourself first then automatically you find others loving you and you start loving others! And so the entire world will live in peace and harmony without attempting any war crimes.

Hinduism is beyond merely a way of life, but more importantly, it is the path of duty. Calling it a way of life was trick of the so called secular forces in this country to make the Hindus lose their identity as Hindus. It is nothing special, it is just a way of life, they said all the time. Every religion is a way of life and other religions are more so than Hinduism. The other faiths strictly prescribe how to dress, how and what to eat, how to pray, etc. Hinduism urges its followers to do their duty in the light of their view of what is right and what is wrong, without desiring the fruit of doing the duty, yet wanting to achieve the goal of being in existence as intelligent human beings. We have lots of egotism, and because of such weak mind thought patterns we never are able to live a healthy and happy life? We hate others, because we never loved our life completely! Religious fundamentalists of all types say their religion is a way of life and practice; it is a modern age reaction to the secularist fundamentalist’s claim that their ways are also a preparation. Time and again we see clashes between religious nationalists and secular nationalists.

Hate crimes are increasing in our world with religious mindset, where as a spiritual master never guides you towards hating other people and he always advises you to love each other. Unfortunately, we keep our spiritual idol or Gods words aside and start fighting each other!, “He who knows one, knows none.” This is the way to peace, it needs practice of tolerance. Otherwise, it is living in anxiety and anguish over the others, everyday all lifetime. Religious practice is not political. Otherwise, religion becomes politics and politics becomes religion, which is not the goal of religions. The term “Hindu” has been hotly debated for a long time, but a firm definition has proved to be elusive.

Like religion, administration of a place of worship is… Hinduism is a sum of many beliefs and practices and is connected to one divine spirit. Other religions came after Hinduism. If there was only Hindusim in the world it would be been a way of life but in today’s world it becomes a religion and no matter what state we come from our Hindu practices are basically the same. Whatever you may say about Hinduism, it has survived and thrived tens and thousands of years and will always do because our faith is very strong. We might be the only country in the world which gives so much freedom to other religions inspite of Hindus being the largest majority. When push comes to shove, you will have no place to hide. Please respect each other’s religion, all our religious texts say the same thing and that is to live in a moral peaceful way and do good things. Peaceful co-existence can only take place if there is mutual respect for each other, and if there is respect, then you don’t need to convert people. Is India so bigoted that even the ‘way of life’ is prescribed and not open to choice?
