House wives paying price

People do not want to compromise on taste and go for the best quality all the time. The prices of all the vegetables are touching Rs. 80/- per kilo mark and the food minister is silent and could not curtail the prices through corrective measures. The hype, hoopla and hysteria about the Union Budget and the policies of the Union Government under Finance Minister received a big scare as there is no respite from increase in vegetable prices. There is no control over rising prices of pulses and other essential commodities. Now that the crude oil prices is coming down considerably we should be in a position to get vegetables prices slashed to the half of what we are paying now. We are already seeing the price hike in consumer durables and the other basic necessities of daily use. But the major reason is Central Government’s incompetence to curtail prices from the grassroots level. Vegetable price hike is the tip of the iceberg and the price rise of fruits is giving people sleepless nights. There is no doubt about it.
