India’s leading travel metasearch engine marketplace ixigo recorded four times increase in daily flight bookings during its monsoon sale. Travelers were being able to book flight tickets at unbelievably slashed prices.
Meanwhile, the bookings made for international destinations increased by three folds. The sale had also increased the flight searches on ixigo’s platform by 2.5X.
The maximum domestic bookings made through the online marketplace were for Mumbai while Goa and Srinagar followed in terms of the most sought-after domestic destinations for travelers. Moreover, Singapore, Dubai and New York led the pack in terms of international bookings.
With a majority of bookings done for travel dates three to six months away from June, it is clear that users have leveraged this opportunity to plan and pre-book their future holiday plans with ixigo’s inimitable monsoon sale.
