Julianne Moore, who has been nominated at the 87th Academy Awards in the Best Actress category for her work in Still Alice, said she is hoping to take home the honour.
The 54-year-old-star said that winning the Oscar is a big deal for her, reported Parada magazine.
“That’s the nomination from your peers. It’s a very, very big deal,” she said.
Julianne is competing against Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Reese Witherspoon (Wild), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), and Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night) for the title.
Even if she does not win, the Don Jon star has already seen a hugely successful awards season. Celebrated for her work in Still Alice, Julianne won the Golden Globes, BAFTA and SAG.
The actress said she is going through a happy phase in her personal life. “The family that I have, the friends, the marriage; How lucky am I?” she said. Julianne has been married to director Bart Freundlich for almost 12 years.
