Congress chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law, Robert Vadra, is reportedly likely to be taken off the no-frisking list at airports.

Among the dignitaries who are exempted from frisking include the Prime Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker, Supreme Court judges and those given protection by SPG.

Shortly after the Narendra Modi-led government came to power at the Centre, it was said that the dignitaries mentioned on the no-frisking list would be assessed.

The list is prepared by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) on the basis of inputs given by the Home Ministry. The list currently has the names of 30 people.

Meanwhile, after reports of government considering cancellation of such facilities to Robert Vadra surfaced last year, his wife Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had asked the SPG to withdraw the exemption given to her family at the airports.
