Actor Ronit Roy, who plays a drunkard father in the recently released “2 States”, says if it weren`t for producer Karan Johar`s conviction, he may have not even done the movie.
Ronit, who features in a key “special appearance” in the film, has been getting praise galore for his performance as Krrish`s (Arjun Kapoor) father.
“And to think I almost didn`t do `2 States`! It`s all Karan Johar`s conviction I went with. Credit goes to him,” Ronit posted on his Twitter page.
“I`m overwhelmed by all the appreciation you have showered on me for my performance and the film `2 States`. Thank you sooooo much. Wow! What a tremendous reaction to me in `2 States`. Never would have thought. Can`t thank you guys enough,” he added.
The actor, who has had a successful transition from the small to the big screen, also featured in Johar`s `Student Of The Year`.
`2 States`, co-produced by Johar`s Dharma Productions and SajidNadiadwala`s banner, is directed by Abhishek Varman. Starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor, the movie tells the love story of a couple belonging to two different states.
