The Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has broken security rules 100 times in the last two years. This was reported by the Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the Lok Sabha when he was answering the Congress accusation that there was a carelessness in security offered to Rahul Gandhi. A serious thought should be given if protection should be given or not to someone who is violating security rules. Congress should have informed the people before creating a furore in the Parliament why he violated security rules. Security is offered to protect the person and if he breaks it then he is inviting trouble for himself. The protection is the responsibility of special force and it is the duty of the person who is protected that he too co-operate with the agencies. If contact with the public is required then it should be done in the ambit of the security rules. If the security rules are violated and some untoward incident happens then the how can the security agencies be held responsible? While intermingling with the public care should be taken.
