Stop talking about trivial issues

Arvind Kejriwal is Chris Gayle. Uncle! Why Modi should become prime minister and not Kejriwal? The Gujarat CM has proven track record of providing good governance while Kejriwal is like Jasu Patel ( took 9 wickets against Australia at Green Park Kanpur but nothing was heard about him after that innings). Dilip Kumar Saheb has aged and may God give him good health and long life.

Congress ko “support de ke phans gayi hai”, the moment they will plan to withdraw support, Arvind will carve out a new populist “ mudda”. The only person who can help Congress is Vinod Binny who can rebel against the party and join BJP which will pave way for the ruling party’s collapse.

On a serious note, Narendra Bhai continues to be the best candidate for the PM’s choice but the BJP and RSS will have to begin a personalized campaign, shedding elitist approach. As suggested earlier, Modi should now be visible on public platform with some others like Kiran Bedi, Subramanian Swamy and Baba Ramdev. Even though the Lok Sabha election is just round the corner Modi is yet to select a Muslim candidate to stand and assist him in the campaigning process. He should hire the services of a specialist who will talk about setting up off shore wind farms for power generation, increasing and modernizing defence equipment production ( you have already antagonized Anglo-Italians after scrapping helicopter deal), oil and gas exploration and production , creating technical competence to deal with underwater pipe line leaks, setting up desalination plants to provide clean potable water, harnessing technology to re-use waste water for gardening purposes etc. In short, we must talk about technical matters and development instead of trivial issues like who broke Rakhi Birla’s car glass and the reason for Sunanda Pushkar’s death. Inclusion of Shashi Tharoor in the cabinet had nothing to do with technical development and skill development.

Railways are undergoing financial problem and here we have a minister who creates a fuss over why his bogie was not aligned in front of the gate. They feel insulted if made to walk a few steps. Kanpur railway station is haven for thieves. No official is present at the door of reserved compartment to prevent entry of thieves into the compartment. TTE and Cabin attendant must remain present near the door of the coach. Many persons have lost their lives and limb on platforms due to neglect in maintenance and effective patrolling of platforms during rush hours.

At least one man in uniform carrying loudspeaker should stand at a place where he can see commotion and intervene. Training and re-training of Railway staff is the need of the hour. There are some good TTEs too, e.g. one who boards local trains between Kalyan and Titwala stations. I myself noticed this while regularly commuting to Khardi. The railways must set up a system to reward and punish its employees for enhancing productivity. CPR technique should be learnt by the young socially conscious youth for saving lives.
