Heritage walk at fort

Fort Area is the most prestigious and posh locality in Mumbai. The area is surrounded by Administrative offices, Banks, Commercial establishments and roadside shops. There are two local train junctions in Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Churchgate Stations to connect people all over Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. But the fading splendour of Fort Area is causing ripples in the minds of people worried about Heritage. The area is considered prime locality for preserving heritage and some steps were taken for the upkeep of the buildings in the vicinity and keep the traditional set up of the place for a long time. More efforts are to be taken to upkeep the building and bring the old splendour of these monuments. A reflection of the city’s glorious past, the precinct is in the grave need of restoration and conservation. Unless authorities reach a consensus and resolve existing issues, the future of this pre-eminent precinct appears dismal. At last we will be able to have a heritage walk in the famous and posh Fort Area of Mumbai.
