Spearhead of South African bowling line-up, Dale Steyn, left the field due to pain on the third day of the first Test against England at Kingsmead, Durban to give the hosts some hiccups.

Initially, it seemed the pacer was struggling with some shoulder strain when he left the field after 6.2 overs of England’s 2nd innings.

However, Steyn made a surprise comeback to the field in the 11th over.

Soon after his comeback, Cricket South Africa (CSA) tweeted that Styen will be taken for a scan later.

It would be a big blow for the hosts if Steyn becomes unavailable for the remaining series.

In the first innings, the 32-year-old ageing cricketer remained the most successful bower for his side, with the figures of 25.1-70-4.
