A two-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Bhandup, police said.
An FIR was registered at Bhandup police station on Wednesday after a complaint by a 35-year-old housewife that her two-year-old daughter was abducted and then sexually abused at an isolated place in Millat Nagar area of Bhandup.
The woman, who also resides in Millat Nagar, named two suspects alleging that the duo was involved in the sexual assault committed yesterday afternoon.
Based on the woman’s complaint, an FIR was registered under Section 363 (Punishment for kidnapping), Section 376 (Punishment for rape) and other relevant sections of the The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), while a probe as well as manhunt is on to nab the accused, Bhandup police station inspector Sanjay Basawat said.
