In a sensational piece of news, a 26-year old woman has been charged with rape for forcing herself on a man while he was asleep in his apartment in America’s Seattle, reports said Monday.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the victim, who is a 31-year old man, claimed that a woman named Chantae Gilman broke into his apartment and assaulted him sexually after pinning him down over his head.
The victim denies knowing the woman personally, saying she was just an acquaintance of another man in the duplex. The accused woman was known as ‘a drug user in the area’, the man added reportedly.
According to the victim, he had been fast asleep after attending a birthday party on June 17, when he woke up at 2 am in the night to find the 5.7 ft tall woman on top of him. He further said that he had to struggle hard to writhe himself out of her grasp, before going to Harborview Medical Center for a sexual assault examination.
The medical test matched the DNA from the victim’s body to that of the accused woman after which she was slapped with second-degree rape charges “for assaulting a victim ‘incapable of consenting to sexual intercourse by reason of being physically helpless”.
