More than 500 workers are working day and night to rebuild Kedarnath town which was devasted last year due to the mid-June flash floods.

As per Harish Rawat, these men are led by an 85-member Special Task Force (STF) have been working continuously for the past eight months.

More labourers will be pressed into work of rebuilding once the snow cover gets cleared up.

Two snow-blowers and three bulldozers have been transported to Kedarnath on Sunday which will be used to clean up the snow cover.

A 20-member GSI team of experts had issued guidelines on re-building and re-location work at Kedarpuri weeks after they conducted an on-the-spot survey of the region.

STF members said nine modular bridges would have to be installed at different places apart from three swinging bridges at Kedarnath and nearby areas as part of the rebuilding process in the region.
