A day after the Delhi High Court was informed that Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar’s provisional certificate is “fabricated”, the Aam Aadmi Party leader on Tuesday refuted the allegations of having a fake law degree.

Briefing the media, Tomar said that the matter is sub judice and the court will have the last word.

While rejecting the allegations, the AAP leader said that when court will order the university, it will bring all the documents to its notice.

“When all the records will be placed before the court everything will be clear. ‘Doodh Ka Doodh Pani Ka Pani ho jayega’,” he said adding that all his degrees and certificates were genuine and university records were “tampered with”.

“They (his certificates) are absolutely genuine, 100 per cent genuine,” said Tomar, who is facing charges of possessing fake law degree told reporters here at Delhi Secretariat.

Tomar alleged that it was a political ploy by the BJP to malign the image of his party.

Bihar’s Tilak Manjhi Bhagalpur University on Monday submitted before the Delhi HC that Tomar’s provisional certificate is “fabricated and does not exist in the institution’s record”.

Tomar has claimed that he had completed his law education from the particular university.

Earlier today, both Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress demanded Tomar’s resignation.

While addressing the media, Congress leader Ajay Maken demanded that the Law Minister be sacked.

In an attempt to corner the AAP government, Maken announced that if Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal fails to sack Tomar, Congress will hold a massive demonstration outside Delhi Secretariat on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the BJP also latched onto the opportunity and demanded the resignation of the Delhi Law Minister.

The BJP taunted the AAP, saying the Law Minister himself has shown how law is being toyed with.

“Whatever degrees were submitted (by Tomar), were fake. The Law Minister himself has shown how law is being toyed with. Those people who spoke about ethics in politics have been unmasked. People of Delhi want answers from AAP for the way you reached here (gained power) by making false promises,” BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said.
