AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said, “Several important decisions were taken in the meeting. The time has come to re-organise the party now and a new political affairs committee will be formed.”
After the ‘Jhadu Chalao Yatra’, membership drive, the AAP will start Mission Vistaar in the country soon, said Kejriwal. He added, “We have to prepare for the upcoming elections. We have to build a strong, nationwide organisation.”
Many new faces have also been included in the national executive.
He also praised the party for faring well in the Lok Sabha elections. He said, “Though there was a wave of someone, but AAP did extremely well in Lok Sabha polls. Our four MPs will take up issues related to Delhi in Parliament.”
Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his stunning victory in the general elections, Kejriwal appealed to him to solve the water and electricity problem in the national capital.
During his short stint as the chief minister of Delhi, Kejriwal had cut electricity bills by a massive 50 per cent for the consumers consuming below 400 units and 20 kilo litres of water every month.
On the rift among senior party leaders Manish Sisodia and Yogendra Yadav, Kejriwal said, “The issue has been resolved.”
There was a war of words between Sisodia and Yadav following the latter’s letter in which he had accused AAP of falling prey to personality cults.
