After Foley, Sotloff, Islamic State beheads David Haines; UK vows to hunt down killers

David-HainesAnother week, another beheading. Hardly, over a week after the barbaric Islamic State released a video showing the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff, they claim to have decapitated British humanitarian aid worker David Haines in another video, reported Site Intelligence Group.

Earlier, the IS released two similar videos, showing the grisly beheadings of US journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff on August 19 and September 3 respectively.

In the latest beheading video released by the ISIS, in which the executioner, is apparently the same who appeared in James Foley and Steven Sotloff beheading videos, spouting threats to US and UK and threatening to decapitate the next target, another Briton named Alan Henning.

David Haines was an ex-British soldier who later served for aid organisations. He was reportedly abducted by the extremists in March 2013 from Syria,

With the latest video, the ISIS seem to have reiterated their audacious message to the Western powers that their beheading threats are not mere hollow warnings and that they will keep on retaliating till they are being targeted in Iraq by the US and its allies, mainly the Britain.

The IS had threatened to kill David Haines in Sotloff’s beheading video, that had come just a day after PM David Cameron hadoutlined a slew of anti-terror measutres aimed at curbing the radicalisation of British citizens. Some 500 British citizens have reportedly fled to Iraq and Syria to fight alongside the IS jihadists.

The beheading videos posted by the ISIS seem to be following the same pattern, with a British-accented executioner forcing the victim to speak to the camera, and then threatening the US and its allies before beheading, after which the next target is shown.

In the grisly video, the British-accented IS man is seen alongside David Haines, who is kneeling and is in orange jumpsuit, just like James Foley and Steven Sotloff were.

The video that lasts for more than two minutes, starts with a clip of British PM David Cameron vowing to work “with allies” to rein in the rise of this “appalling organisation”.

Then starts the Islamic State’s “A message to America and its allies”, in which the British citizen David Haines is shown speaking to the camera.

In what appears to be a forced statement, the Briton, with his hands tied behind his back, says that Prime Minister David Cameron “entirely responsible” for the murder and that he is ‘paying the price’ for the UK Parliament’s selfish decisions.

“My name is David Cawthorne Haines… I would like to declare that I hold you David Cameron entirely responsible for my execution.”

“You entered voluntarily into a coalition with the United States against the Islamic State just as your predecessor Tony Blair did following a trend amongst our British Prime Minsters who can’t find the courage to say no to the Americans….,” says the ex-British soldier in video.

“Unfortunately it is we the British public who will pay the price for our Parliament’s selfish decisions,” he adds.

The Briton’s voice is followed by the executioner’s statement, which blames Cameron for the beheading saying, that it was in retaliation to the British PM’s promise to arm the Peshmerga against the Islamic State.

Extending his threat to the UK, the executioner added, “Your evil alliance with America which continues to strike the Muslims of Iraq and most recently bombed the Haditha Dam will only accelerate your destruction and playing the role of the obedient lapdog Cameron will only drag you and your people into another bloody and unwinnable war”.

Condemning the murder as an “act of pure evil”, the British PM took to Twitter, and vowed to hunt down the perpetrators.
