Saradha chit fund scam accused Kunal Ghosh threatened to commit suicide in a open court while accusing CBI of bias in investigation after he was produced before a Kolkata session court on Monday.
The Trinamool Congress leader alleged the CBI was shielding the real culprits and if this goes on then he no longer has desire to live and will commit suicide in the open court.
The CBI in October 2014 filed its first chargesheet in the Saradha Chit fund scam at the city sessions court in Kolkata and named Saradha group chairman Sudipta Sen, his close associate Debjani Mukherjee and suspended TMC MP Kunal Ghosh.
Apart from Sudipta, Debjani and Kunal, five companies owned by the trio had also been implicated in the conspiracy. These companies are Saradha Tours and Travels, Saradha Constructions, Saradha Gardens and Saradha Realty and Kunal-owned Strategy Media Limited.
