Australia named a 13-man squad for the Boxing Day Test match against visitors India starting at the MCG on Friday.
25-year-old Joe Burns has been added in the squad in place of injured Mitchell Marsh, Cricket Australia confirmed. Burns plays for Queensland and has represented Australia A.
CA announced the 13-man Australia squad on Sunday for the third Test through social micro-blogging site, Twitter. Cricket Australia twitted ‘Boxing Day Test squad: Smith, Haddin, Rogers, Warner, Watson, Marsh.S, Burns, Johnson, Starc, Siddle, Harris, Hazlewood, Lyon’.
Meanwhile, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh will stay with the Australian squad for the Boxing Day Test match to continue his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury he picked up during the second Test match at the Gabba, Brisbane. Australia lead the 4-match Test series 2-0.
