Continuing its practice to release propaganda videos in order to discourage Western countries from fighting against the Islamic State, the extremist group has released a fresh video featuring British captive John Cantlie who is seen highlighting how the IS controls huge swathes in the embattled border town of Kobani in Syria.

In the video, Cantlie is seen reporting from Kobani, where the ISIS is engaged in a fierce battle with Kurdish peshmerga fighters as well as YPG fighters for over a month now.

The battle for Kobani that started on September 16 with the ISIS launching an offensive there, has entered into sixth week now with US-led coalition air strikes coupled with Kurdish fighters’ managing to check the Islamic state’s murderous advance in the town.

However, the British captive John Cantlie, who is used by the ISIS as a sort of spokesman, says that the ISIS is controlling southern and eastern part of Kobani, reported the SITE monitoring agency.
