Beat the heat: This auto offers you a ‘cool’ drive with desi AC, jaljeera

In a bid to ensure a comfortable ride, an auto driver in Jaipur offers his customers cold Jaljeera and drinking water to bring them respite from the scorching summer heat.
Islamuddin Parekh, who has named his auto Marwari Express, wanted to ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride for his customers at a time when the mercury in the state has risen to 46 degree Celsius.
Even as he couldn’t afford to get an air-conditioner fitted in his auto, he decided to try what he refers to as the cheap ‘Desi AC’ concept. He got the roof and the sides of his auto covered with wooden blankets to keep away the hot air from entering, the report said.
The revamp cost him Rs 26,000, however, he did not increase the fare by even a rupee.
