In what seemed like a typical Bollywood film scene, a 25-year-old man said that he fainted after being fed sweets laced with sedatives by his fiancé. The incident took place at his wedding; the groom had to be rushed to a hospital and he returned only to find out that his fiancé has married her secret paramour.
A report says, Jugal Kishore who had fasted the whole day, was given sweets made of betel leaves. He fell unconscious after eating them. He was taken to a hospital and after he returned to the venue he found that his fiancé has married her lover, one Harpal Singh.
Jugal has accused Indravati of insulting his family and demanding Rs 50,000 from his family.
The bride’s family has, however, refuted his claims and said Indravati broke off the alliance because Jugal was an alcoholic.
Both the families are learnt to have resolved the issue.
