Cabinet to be expanded before Monsoon session: Danve

Raosaheb-DanveThe state BJP announced that Maharashtra Cabinet will be expanded before the Monsoon session which will commence in July and a committee will be formed to iron out differences that have recently cropped in the ruling coalition.

“Expansion of Cabinet and appointments of state run corporations will be done before June end,” state BJP chief Raosaheb Danve said.

Danve has also decided to constitute a co-ordination committee comprising of all the constituents of the Grand Alliance.

Danve further said that issues that have recently cropped up between the allies will be sorted out in the first week of June.

The ‘Mahayuti’ (Grand Alliance) comprises of parties like Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatna (SSS), Vinayak Mete’s Shiv Sangram, Rashtriya Samaj Paksha and Republican Party of India ¿A.

He said party president Amit Shah is set to address ministers, party office bearers and cadres on May 23.

“To mark the first year of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the Center the state unit is to observe ‘Janakalyan Parva’ between May 26 to May 31. The party cadres have been asked to communicate with the people about the various public welfare measures and decisions taken by the government in last one year,” former Union minister Danve said.

Sources within the BJP said that co-ordination committee will also discuss appointments in state run corporations and statutory bodies.

“However, all these contentious issues will only be sorted out after Danve formally takes charge as the state BJP unit president during the three day state executive meeting to be held from May 22 at Kolhapur,” sources said.
