CBI registers case into killing of two Dalit children in Haryana, visits village for probe

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case into the killing of two Dalit toddlers in Ballabhgarh village in Faridabad. A family of four was set on fire including- one child aged 11-month-old and the other who was 2.5-year-old. While the children succumbed to their injuries, the children’s mother sustained serious injuries and the father suffered serious burns.

Meanwhile, a CBI team along with a team of forensic experts visited the village where the horrific crime took place earlier in October. The team headed by a DIG level officer is in the process of understanding the circumstances of the incident.

Facing immense pressure, Haryana government had agreed for CBI probe into Faridabad caste violence case. ” The case was about the enmity between two families. The CM has appealed not to politicise the issue,” PRO of Haryana CM, Amit Arya said.

CBI has registered a case of murder against 11 persons in connection with the killing of two children in an alleged arson attack in Sunped village in Haryana on October 20. CBI sources said as per the laid down procedure, the agency has taken over the investigation in the FIR registered by the local police which had named 11 persons in the case.
