A Chhattisgarh lawyer attempted to commit suicide in the Supreme Court premises claiming she was gang-raped on Monday.
The female lawyer claimed that she was raped by her relatives in Chhattisgarh last year and alleged inaction by the authorities.
She drank poison in the premises of the Supreme Court alleging that she was denied justice and to highlight her plight.
She was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The apex court has reportedly take suo motu cognisance of the case and the hearing in the case is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
