Following their ODI series loss against England in United Arab Emirates, Pakistan head coach Waqar Younis has insisted that his young side is on a learning curve and will improve with time.

Waqar stressed that his side performed well in the first match of the series but failed to continue with the winning momentum, Sport24 reported.

Earlier, England had clinched the four-match ODI series 3-1 against Pakistan following their 84-run win in the final match.

Lavishing praise on his side, Waqar said that although his side lost the series, they have gained the mindset needed to play positive cricket.

The 44-year-old, who feels that his side would have learnt from mistakes, urged them to take criticism positively and work on it.

Meanwhile, Waqar also backed leg-spinner Yasir Shah, who grabbed only two wickets, saying that he is sure that the latter will turn out to be one of the best ODI bowlers in the coming future.

The two sides will now square off in the three-match T20 series, starting from November 26 in Dubai.
