Book reading culture is gradually shrinking in our societies. I believe that, instead of presenting just crests, gifts and other prizes in contests and other occasions, participants should receive books. If thought provoking books relating to literature, history, philosophy and politics and so on, can be offered and established as a trend in our culture, people’s mind will be broadened through the power of imaginations, and a culture of tolerance and mutual respect can be developed. Books are one’s best friend, they shape our future, give us a vision and help us progress. Not only this, they also give us knowledge; they help preserve our culture and language. But this can only be possible if good quality books are easily available.
