Controversial starlette, Poonam Pandey has refuted claims that she has caused rift in the recent controversial model rape case.
In an exclusive interview she said, “I don’t know the victim. I don’t know who Sunil Paraskar is either, because I have never met him.”
She also added that that she has no idea how her name was pulled into the controversy.
Recently, an FIR was registered against a senior Maharashtra IPS officer Sunil Paraskar after a young model accused him of rape and molestation last year. According to reports, the model has alleged that the molestation and rape took place between October and December last year when Paraskar was posted as additional commissioner of police, North region, Mumbai.
It was revealed that Poonam`s role will be questioned by the Crime Branch, as the victim has claimed that it was Poonam who is behind all this, due to their professional rivalry.
The actress who is known for promising to strip for various sporting wins grabbed the headlines when she was accused of inappropriate behaviour near Mira Road in Mumbai.
She has been blamed of taking help from Paraskar regarding the incident. She tried to defend herself by saying, “The Mira Road incident was not a big deal to have asked anyone for help. I was just roaming about with my brother in car, while playing loud music. The police were just doing their duty.”
She also said that she is going to file a defamation case once the investigations for the Rape case are over.
