Team India cornered glory at Emerald Islands with a second successive series win against an opposition which lacked application and lost out quality players in recent time. Thus India won the series on the trot for the 8th time and only England won 9 series on the trot post World war period. It all started with an away series in Sri Lanka in 2015-16 and the trend continued now also after a series of home wins. Winning is a habit and Indian Team managed to make a successful stint over a period of time. The remarkable one was the one against a redoubtable Australian side with a 2-1 victory in our backyard. Kohli carried on his batting form most in this incredible period and Ashwin, the ace off-spinner accounted for over 80 wickets in this golden period and winning the hearts of the cricket fans. The previous best was when MS Dhoni was leading the side.
