Father-son duo arrested for allegedly abducting teenage girl

The Thane police arrested a father-son duo for allegedly abducting a teenage maid who worked in their house and forcibly marrying her to the son, the police said.

Senior police inspector M M Bhor of the Tilak Nagar police station at Ambernath told that the girl aged 15 used to work in the house of the accused.

Though they were aware that she is a minor, they forcibly took her to their hometown and got her married to the son.

Later, the son allegedly raped her, according to a complaint filed by the girl’s mother late last night.

While the victim and those accused lived in the Khambalpada locality of Dombivili, the police said that the incident took place between October 27, 2014 and last night in Khambalpada and Gudra, in the Tulsipur taluka of Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said.

The police said that the accused have been charged under Section 363, Section 366 (a), Section 376, Section 506 (2) read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 5(l) and 6 of the POCSO Act 2012, the police said.

The police named those arrested as Bablu Vijay Pal alias Kanojia (19), Vijay Pal alias Kanojia (35) and Dadan Kanojia.

The police said that Bablu worked in a scrap dealers’ shop, adding that a hunt is on for the third accused who is a relative and accomplice of the father and son duo.
