In yet another shameful incident highlighting concerns about women’s safety in major metropolitan cities, a shocking video of a group of women being allegedly harassed and threatened by at least three men here came to fore on Monday.

According to reports, the incident took place late on Saturday night at the posh MG road in the city. In their complaint, the women claimed that a group of four-to five unidentified men came near their car and asked them to roll down their windows.

The women further claimed that they threatened them of serious consequences and were carrying a sharp object.

“We shouted for help for 30 seconds,” one of them told reporters later recalling the horrific incident.

The women, who were relaxing in their car, had sent their driver to buy ice cream from a popular shop nearby when the incident took place.

One of the women even shot the video from inside the car and the rest started screaming for help after which all five men fled from the scene.

The screaming of the women can be heard in the video while the group of men can be seen smiling at them. The city police have meanwhile registered a case in this regard and assured swift action soon.

“We have registered cases of outraging modesty of women and stalking. The investigations are on in the matter. We hope to make some arrests soon,” Bengaluru CP MN Reddy was quoted as saying.

The police is yet to identify those five men who allegedly harassed the victims.
