Sahara Force India on Wednesday opted to skip the all-important pre-season test at Jerez. The team had originally planned to use the 2014 car in Spain for the upcoming season’s first test.

The Indian team tweeted yesterday that limited “learning opportunities” have forced them to pull out of the pre-season test which starts on Sunday.

Interestingly, Force India were one of the smaller teams to have complained about the financial viability vis-a-vis Formula One’s revenue share. Both Lotus and Sauber had claimed that the prize money distribution was unfairly and disproportionately weighted towards the more successful teams.

Force India are entering the 2015 season with same driver line-up of Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez and also using the same engine supplier in Mercedes.
