Having walked for Victoria’s Secret and kind of dominated the fashion scene all year, Gigi Hadid is teaming up with Tommy Hilfiger to launch a clothing line.
The collaboration makes sense – Hadid appeared on the Hilfiger runway at New York Fashion Week in September, and her look gels well with the all-American brand.
The designer was quick to set the deal apart from a simple campaign contract.
“Global ambassadorships are a bit overused and not too exciting,” Hilfiger told a daily English daily.
“We’re really doing something different. We’re creating a line called Gigi by Tommy Hilfiger, using her style, her sense, her social media presence as the top supermodel in the world today.”
Hadid is already using her social media power to promote the collaboration, having posted a picture of a tag.
According to the caption, it will be released in the northern hemisphere’s autumn next year.
