Artist Hema Upadhyay’s family has accused her estranged husband Chintan Upadhyay for the murder of her daughter on Thursday. Hema’s family wants Chintan’s name to be added in the FIR as the prime accused. The family alleged that a property dispute led to the murder of Hema as Chintan was not ready to give Hema her share of the property. Her family has accused Chintan of threatening Hema and want the police to probe the property dispute angle.
According to her family’s claims, Chintan is involved in the murder of her daughter. They want his name to be added in the FIR as the prime accused. They added that money cannot be the motive as she had rings worth rupees 15 lakh on her when she was murdered. She also had money in her bank account as well, they added. Further, they said that there was property dispute that may have led to the murder.
Chintan was not ready to give Hema’s share of the property after which he had threatened that he will go to any extent. The family claimed that Hema was scared of Chintan.
