A criminal who was wanted in over 30 cases was arrested in Amboli, police said.
Farid Khan, who was arrested, is younger brother of Idah who was killed in a police encounter, said a police official.
Over 30 cases, including attempt to murder, extortion, and rioting, are registered against Farid at various police stations in the city.
Among other cases, he was wanted in two cases registered at Vakola police station.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by ACP Arun Chavan, Senior Police Inspector Bharath Gaikwad and Sub-Inspector Daya Nayak laid a trap and nabbed Farid near Ram Mandir in Amboli, the official said.
