Actor Charlie Hunnam says he feels like he is on a fool’s errand as it is hard for him to be a part of more original films due to the prevailing trends in the showbiz.

The 37-year-old actor says he has pledged to continue fighting his way out and hopes to be successful in his efforts one day, reported FemaleFirst.

“The tent pole films now represent 98 per cent of the revenue generated by the whole film industry, which is a perverse statistic, but unfortunately the reality.

“I say that, being a guy who has starred in tent pole films, but the type of films that I’m really drawn to seem to be, literally, day by day, more and more difficult to get made. So, ultimately, I don’t know. I feel a little bit like I’m on a fool’s errand, you know?” Charlie tells Den of Geek magazine.

The “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” actor adds as a producer he wishes to recreate the ’70s, “the golden age of cinema”.
