As both the leaders demanding PM Nawaz Sharif’s resignation continued upping the ante against the government, there seemed to be no let-up in sight for Pakistan crisis, despite reports that the third round of talks between Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the ruling PML-N had been fruitful.

On one hand, cleric and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahir ul-Qadri gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the government to dissolve assemblies; while Imran Khan, on the other hand, appeared cashing in on a former election official’s revelations that he said, confirmed his rigging allegations against the PML-N government.

PAT chief Qadri, who has been leading parallel protest rally along with Imran Khan’s march, repeated his demand for the government to dissolve, register FIR and hand over them to police.
