The All-India Senior Selection Committee met to announce the India ‘A’ squads for the upcoming home series against Bangladesh ‘A’, which involves three one-day games and a lone three-day game.

The selection committee selected Unmukt Chand as the skipper of the one-day side, while Shikhar Dhawan will lead the home team in the three-day game.

Squad for One-day matches:

Unmukt Chand (Captain), Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, Kuldeep Yadav, Jayant Yadav, Karan Sharma, Rishi Dhawan, S. Aravind, Dhawal Kulkarni, Rush Kalaria, Gurkeerat Singh Mann.

The most famous name in the one-day squad is Suresh Raina, who recently practised with the Dutch cricket team in the Netherlands. It will be interesting to see how well the seasoned campaigner utilises these outings.

Squad for three-day match:

Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Abhinav Mukund, Karun Nair, Shreyas Iyer, Baba Aparajith, Naman Ojha, Jayant Yadav, Vijay Shankar, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal, Abhimanyu Mithun, Varun Aaron, Ishwar Pandey, Sheldon Jackson.

It will be a good opportunity for India opener Dhawan to test match fitness after missing the remainder of the Sri Lanka tour due to a hand injury he picked during the first Test. It may well proved to be his selection trial ahead of the high-stake India-South Africa series.

On September 5, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have confirmed the schedule for the tour. The tour will begin with the three One-day matches, to be played in Bengaluru (on September 16, 18 and 20).

Then the visiting team will play a three-day game against Ranji Trophy 2014-15 champions, Karnataka at Mysore, starting September 22.

The tour will conclude with another three-day match against India ‘A’ in Bengaluru, which starts on September 27.
