India Test skipper Virat Kohli who smashed a well made 147 runs in the first innings of the fourth Test against Australia last week in Sydney is now on SCG’s honours board.

Alongside Kohli, another India youngster Lokesh Rahul also found his name in the board. The Karnataka batsman who opened India’s batting alongside Murali Vijay, struck 110 runs in the first innings, which was his maiden Test ton.

Already having lost the four-match series, India drew the Sydney Test after achieving a similar result in Melbourne earlier. The Sydney Cricket Ground honours board consists of all the players getting tons in the ground from visiting teams against Australia.

The BCCI posted a photo on social-micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Former Indian legends Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman too are on the honours board with their names featuring twice each. Both Tendulkar and Laxman had scored impressive tons in the 2003-04 and the 2007-08 tour in Sydney.

Kohli had a dream series after scoring an overall 692 runs with four centuries and a fifty. For the hosts skipper Steve Smith who was adjudged the Man-of-the-Series, amassed 770 runs creating a new record.
