Having turned around his party’s fortunes by joining the NDA ahead of Lok Sabha polls, LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan said his party would be part of Mahayuti, a grand alliance led by BJP-Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, in the assembly elections.

“LJP became part of the Mahayuti after joining the NDA. Number of seats don’t matter. We campaigned for Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur and he won by over three lakh votes,” said Paswan.

Paswan, Union Food and Civil Supplies Minister, was asked if his Lok Janshakti Party has been formally inducted into the Mahayuti comprising BJP, Shiv Sena, RPI-A of Ramdas Athawale, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatna of Raju Shetty and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha of Mahadev Jankar.
