A 25-year-old man was held here for allegedly sodomising a boy, police said.
Anant Babu Kharat (25) has been arrested for allegedly sodomising a 10-year-old boy who lived his neighbourhood in suburban Chembur yesterday, an officer at RCF police station said.
Kharat, who used to work as a labourer, was sodomising the boy for last two months and had threatened him of dire consequences if he revealed anything about it, the officer said.
Later, when the boy started feeling pain in private parts, confided into his parents and narrated them about the incident, following which they lodged a complaint, he said.
“As per preliminary investigation, the accused has been involved in few other cases of unnatural sex as well that were not reported,” the officer added.
A case has been registered in this regard under section 377 (unnatural sex) of IPC and the accused will be produced before the local court today, police said.
