Merely three days after the news of Maqbool mauled by a tiger in the Delhi zoo shook the nation, a man in Pithoragarh area of Uttarakhand was able to fight off a leopard which entered his house on Thursday.
The incident was reported from Kamad village.
Kevlananda’s mother was returning home when a leopard trying to chase a dog entered his house. Kevlananda was present in the house along with his three children and wife.
The leopard charged at the children but Kevlananda tried to fight off the big cat. He put up a spirited fight for fifteen minutes during which he sustained serious injuries on his hands, legs and back, but he did not give up.
Meanwhile, the family members raised an alarm after which villagers gathered. However, by that time, the leopard had exited the house.
Kevlananda was rushed to Gochar hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
