Media Expo brings in the New Year with new-age advertising and signage solutions

With the start of the new business year, the 36th edition Media Expo opened doors to professionals from the media, marketing and corporate world today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai with a host of new-age, competitive media and marketing solutions. The exhibition, which is spread across 6,050 sqm gross exhibition area, hosts 94 exhibitors and primarily focuses on solutions in print, signage, point of purchase, advertising, printing, retail & shop displays and visual merchandising.

The show was inaugurated by Mr. Mahesh Soni, Country Manager – Designjet, Hewlett-Packard India Sales Pvt Ltd., Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd.

This was also the first edition of Media Expo organised under the aegis of Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt. Ltd. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Raj Manek said: “As competition to capture the growing Indian market intensifies, business professionals are looking at new ways to enhance engagement with target audiences and Media Expo has come forward as an important event in the corporate calendar. Adding this show to our portfolio broadens our participation into the signage, retail and advertising solutions industry which are primed for growth in the near future.”

Advancements in technology constantly influence conventional advertising and it has become increasingly important for media and marketing professionals to be informed about industry developments and current trends. Perfectly scheduled in the commercial capital in the first quarter of the year, when businesses align their marketing activities and budgets for the next financial year, Media Expo 2015 will cater to the diverse technology, communication and marketing needs of ad agencies, media planners, art directors, event managers, brand managers, etc. The steady stream of business visitors ensured a busy day for the exhibiting companies on day one. The signs and display markets is growing very fast in India with customers looking to digitise the whole workflow and increasingly investing in the right printers, latest software, finishing machines and materials. This combined with serious inquiries for print and signage solutions led to an atmosphere that spelled business optimism.
