In a brazen display of power, National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani’s son was seen brandishing a gun, a photo of which was put up on a social networking site.
Wani came out in defence of his son and said, “I am not aware of this but will check what is on his Facebook page. Is this an offence? My son wants to be a police officer to serve the country. I will nevertheless check when these pcitures were taken.”
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunil Sethi hit out at Wani’s son, he said, “This is a reckless act, those authorities who allowed the boy to hold this gun are responsible. Who would have been responsible had there been any incident. Those who are also trying underplay this are behaving recklessly. When you deal with an assault weapon this is a serious matter.”
