Mumbai Indians (MI) have called up New Zealand all-rounder Colin Munro to replace Aaron Finch in the 2015 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), according to reports. Besides the Australian batsman, the Mumbai-based franchise’s also lost Monro’s compatriot Corey Anderson due to injury.

Coached by former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, MI have have registered just one win in their first five games this season and their woes have been compounded with the unavailability of two of their big name signings.

The 28-year-old South African born Monro is expected to recreate some of his domestic form from earlier in the year. The left-hander has scored heavily in the Plunket Shield for Auckland. However, he was not named in the Black Caps’ one-day or Test squad that will travel to England, despite his impressive batting in domestic competitions.

Earlier, Anderson joined Finch in the injury list of fledging MI squad. Both the players have been ruled out of the tournament. The Kiwi all-rounder missed the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore due to the injury, which will required further treatment. Finch had already been ruled out of IPL due to a hamstring injury last week.
