In a major success against terrorism, the Punjab Police have netted two top Khalistani leaders in less than a week.

As per reports, top Khalistan Liberation Force leader Harvinder Singh Mintu was nabbed in Thailand while he was hiding there.

Mintu has already been extradited from Thailand and he was taken into custody by Punjab Police after he landed at Delhi’s IGI Airport.

Mintu had been changing his hideout regularly and was believed to be planning attacks in Punjab.

Only yesterday, the Punjab Police had announced the arrest of another top Khalistani terrorist, Ramndeep Singh alias Goldy, from Chennai airport.

Ramndeep Singh, who is from the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), was too traced to Thailand.

“As part of the ongoing exercise of tracking down wanted terrorists abroad, Ramandeep Singh was traced to Thailand,” Punjab Police Inspector General Gaurav Yadav said.

A two-member police party of the counter intelligence unit camped in Thailand for three weeks in September-October 2014 but Goldy managed to escape to Malaysia.

He was later tracked down in Malaysia and in co-ordination with central agencies and Malaysian authorities brought to Chennai early Thursday “and put under arrest at the Chennai airport”, Yadav said.
