Congress Vice President seems to be in no mood to go easy on the Union government. Attacking the Narendra Modi-led government on scrapping of the Amethi food park project, Rahul called the decision, politics of revenge.

Recalling Modi’s proposed agenda of ‘politics of development’ during the campaigning for Lok Sabha elections, Rahul asserted that the decision is contrary to the PM’s promises.

“The PM visited the area during elections and spoke over 52 minutes there. I was then impressed by him saying that he will only do politics for development. But the closure of food park is not politics of development,” he said.

The Congress Vice President also made an appeal to the PM to avert the shutting down of the food park as they have been made for the farmers.

Replying to Rahul’s claims, Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured that he will personally look into the case and see that no injustice is done to the farmers.

“I will look into this case of closure of food parks in Amethi. There is no revenge politics in the case. I will personally inform the MP as well,” he said.
